Instructions: 1. Complete the puzzle showing Pangaea 250 million years ago. Follow the picture guide in the Task Card. 2. Answer the questions that follow. What feature did you use to complete the puzzle? How did you use that feature? 3. During reporting, explain first how did you complete the puzzle. Puzzle Guide: Group 2 – Sabayang Pagbasa! Panuto: 1.
Group 3 – Watch it!
Instructions: 1. Watch a video about how evidence from rocks support plate movement. 2. Answer these questions after: How did rock formations able to support plate movement? Describe the rock sample in your area. 3. During the presentation, discuss first the connection of rock formation to plate movement before the Q&A.
Group 4 – Sing or Rap
it! Instructions: 1. Read the details about how coal deposits support plate movement. 2. In 3 minutes, translate
what you learn into a
song or rap. 3. Perform it in class. Evidence from Coal Deposits Coal beds were formed from the compaction and decomposition of swamp plants that lived million years ago. These were discovered in South America, Africa, Indian subcontinent, Southeast Asia, and even in Antarctica. How is a coal bed formation possible in Antarctica? The current location of Antarctica could not sustain substantial amount of life. If there is a substantial quantity of coal in it, thus, it only means that Antarctica must have been positioned in a part of the Earth where it once supported large quantities of life. This leads to the idea that Antarctica once experienced a tropical climate, thus, it might have been closer before to the equator.
