parallelograms and triangle similarity.

The learner is able to investigate, analyze and solve problems
involving parallelograms and triangle similarity through appropriate and
accurate representation.

Proves the conditions for similarity of triangles.
● Learning Objectives
At the end of the lesson, the students are able to:
1. determine the theorems related to special right triangles;
2. apply right triangle theorems to determine the missing parts; and
3. appreciate concept of special right triangle similarity theorem
applied in real-life.

In a right triangle, the altitude from the right
angle to the hypotenuse divides the
hypotenuse in two segments.

The length of the altitude is the geometric


mean of the lengths of the two segments.

Leg Rule

The length of each leg of the right triangles


is the geometric mean of the lengths of the
hypotenuse and the segment of the
hypotenuse adjacent to the leg.
