1.0 SCOPE
1.1 All structural and miscellaneous steel erection shall be in strict accordance with this Practice, the
applicable data sheet, and the referenced standards and publications.
1.2 Any deviation to this Practice shall be in accordance with the procedure given in EP 1-1-3.
1.3 A revision bar indicates all changes made to this revision.

The latest edition of the following standards and publications are referred to herein.

3.0 DEFINITIONS
3.1 Company – Motiva Enterprises LLC.
3.2 Contractor – Company or business that agrees to furnish materials or perform specified services
at a specified price and/or rate to the Owner.
3.3 Manufacturer – The recipient of a direct or indirect purchase order for materials and/or equipment.
In this context, a direct order is one issued to a manufacturer by a contractor or the Owner. An
indirect order is one issued to a manufacturer by a vendor (recipient of a direct order) for materials,
fabricated components, or subassemblies.
3.4 Owner – Motiva Enterprises LLC.
3.5 Owner’s Engineer – A Motiva Enterprises LLC appointed engineer.
3.6 Purchaser – The party placing a direct purchase order. The purchaser is the Owner’s designated
representative.
3.7 Vendor – Recipient of a direct purchase order.

Unless specified otherwise in contract documents, structural
base plates shall be grouted in accordance with EP 4-2-9,
