How to access VitalSource (Evantage) Bookshelf

A step By step video will also be provided

Step 1: You will receive an email like the one below. The email provides all the steps
and links for accessing the eBook and downloading the Desktop App for offline
viewing.

New Users will need to create a new account. Use the same email address that was
provided to us on the ECWC User list.

The following Steps are a repeat of what is in the email but provide more detail and
a different way of accessing the ebook.

Step 1:
• Go to the below link and sign in.
• https://bookshelf.vitalsource.com/

You can select the forgot password option to reset a password.

Step 2:
• Next, you will redeem a code. If you have not done so already.
• Use the serial number/license code for the training manual that has been
shared with you via email.

 • Add the codes, a License code can only be redeemed once.

Step 3:
• Once the code has been redeemed the eBook will be available.
• Click on the book title or continue reading to open the manual.
• See below example:

2. Zoom in or out
3. Reader Preference Settings
4. Highlights, Notes Bookmarks and flashcards
5. Back to the Library

Bookshelf Desktop App (for Offline viewing)

You can download the Desktop app by clicking on the link below.

Or via the web App

Step1: In the Web App, click on the icon shown below and choose desktop App, and
select Download

Step 2: Download the PC App.

When you select download you may be directed to the Windows App Store

Step 3: Install the PC (Desktop) App and click Open once done.

How to Use the Desktop App.

Step 1: Launch the App and log in with the same credentials you have used before.

Once you have logged in you will see the home page.

Step 2: The previously viewed book will be at the top with others you have access to
at the bottom.
Select the eBook you want to open.

If you see a pop-up that says Welcome to Bookshelf you can select ‘tell me more’ to
learn more about how to use the app. Close when you are done.

The viewer works the same in the desktop app as the web-based app.

Step 3: View the eBook and used as desired.
Select My Library to go back to the home page.

You can also redeem additional manuals in the Desktop App

Note: You may need to refresh the app after you have redeemed a new code.
