Step 4: With the sentences above, write the story of each picture, use
the simple past and the past progressive and the connectors.

Story Picture A (Todos hacen la historia):

(Andrés Agamez) It was Christmas, and Jake was enjoying the snowy holiday with his cousins
at his family's cozy cabin. His cousins had come from far away to spend a week of festive
celebrations together.

One bright and chilly morning, they decided to hit the slopes for some snowboarding fun. As
they glided down the mountainside, their eyes caught a heartwarming sight: their grandmother,
with her cheerful spirit undeterred by the winter chill, was making her way through the snow-
covered landscape. She was carrying a heavy bag of groceries, determined to prepare a special
Christmas dinner for the family.

However, as she carefully navigated the snowy path, the unexpected happened – she slipped
and fell. Concerned for their grandmother, the cousins quickly made their way to her side. With
gentle reassurance, they helped her up and offered to carry her groceries.

Together, they loaded the bag onto a nearby sled and helped their grandmother onto it. She
chuckled at the thought of riding a sled like a child again, and her eyes sparkled with gratitude
for her helpful grandchildren.

The cousins, now pulling the sled with their beloved grandmother on it, made their way back to
the cabin. Laughter and merriment filled the air as they journeyed through the picturesque
winter wonderland.

Upon returning home, they carefully assisted their grandmother off the sled and brought the bag
of groceries inside. The kitchen soon filled with the delightful aroma of Christmas spices and a
feast in the making. The grandmother, despite her earlier fall, was determined to cook a
heartwarming Christmas dinner.

While the grandmother prepared the meal, the cousins set the table with festive decorations and
lit candles, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. As the evening descended, the family
gathered around the beautifully set table.

They shared stories of Christmases past, laughed, and exchanged heartfelt gifts. The Christmas
dinner was a delicious spread, a testament to the grandmother's culinary skills and the love that
went into every dish.

Story Picture B (Todos hacen la historia):

(Andrés Agamez) It was near the end of the race between the rabbit and the turtle. The bear
and other animals were at the finish line, expectantly waiting for the participants to arrive.
However, something strange was happening: only the turtle could be seen running toward the
finish line, with no sign of the rabbit.

The turtle was getting closer to the finish line with steady and determined effort. The animals,
bewildered but impressed by the turtle's determination, began to cheer her on as she
approached victory.

Finally, the turtle crossed the finish line, triggering an explosion of celebration among the
animals. They applauded, cheered, and congratulated the brave turtle who had achieved the
unthinkable by defeating the rabbit, known for its speed.

However, the turtle's victory left the bear puzzled. He wondered what had happened to the
rabbit, who was initially the undisputed favorite to win the race. With curiosity and concern, he
approached the other animals and inquired about the whereabouts of the rabbit.

It was then that one of the Ninja Turtles, Leonardo, stepped forward and confessed the truth. He
explained that they had kidnapped the rabbit with the intention of giving the turtle a fair chance
in the race. The bear, surprised by this revelation, acknowledged that the Ninja Turtles had
acted with good intentions, trying to level the playing field in the competition.

Although the situation was unusual and unconventional, all the animals accepted the
explanation with humor and sportsmanship
