Two Types of Affixes
Prefix
- a word part or syllable
attached at the beginning
of a root word.
Examples:
Underwater
Untidy
Incomplete
Review
Unhappy
Suffix
- a word part or syllable
attached at the end of a
root word.
Examples:
Freshness
Watchful
Touchable
National
Selfish
Playlet

Now, we have an activity that is
called” Magic Changes”
I will divide the class into 3 groups.
Directions:
Each group are provided
by a materials that will be
answered by the pupils,
then all you have to do is
to identify the given
words by its “Root words”
and ‘Affixes”.
If your group are finish
answering one member
will shout the word
“WE’RE DONE!”.
