Teacher’s Activity
A. Reviewing Drill:

-Reading of Dolch Basic Sight Words by fruits picking.

(Teacher prepares cut-out of fruits with words on it for the said activity)

I do (Modelling)
-Pick a word and read its name. Show the word to the pupils and read the word
with you. Let the pupils read alone. Place the word fruit inside the basket.

-Call a pupil to pick a word fruit and read its name. Guide the pupil in showing the
word to his fellow pupils and read the word with her/him. Guide the pupils to
place the word fruit inside the basket.

-Call pupil to take turn in doing the same act as previously show from the guided
practice.

Review: (Using Realia)


Say:
-Last time we have learned all about the demonstrative pronoun This is and That
is. Let us use them in a simple question and answer.
-Teacher will show an object.
Ask:
What is this?
(Instruct the pupils to use the demonstrative pronoun (This/That is) in answering)
Then the pupil will use That is/ This is in asking a question. Guide the pupils in
doing the activity.

Say:
Today is Sarah’s birthday. Her friends and family brought some gifts for
her. If you were Sarah, What do you think are the gifts that Sarah will like
best? Encircle the picture.

Ask:
-What are the gifts given to Sarah?
-Where did Sarah find all her gifts?
-How about her doll? the teddy bear, the headband? the ball? the cake?
her shoes? and her slipper?
-If you were Sarah, how would you feel if your family and friends surprised
you with many gifts?
-If I were your Godmother/ ninang and I will give you a gift, what will you
