Easter Bunny Basket

This cute Easter basket will make a lovely table

Basket
Notes: This piece is crocheted in the round, with 2 strands of yarn held together.
Start every row with a chain 1 (counts as first hdc st).
Every row closes with a sl st. All hdc are done in between the posts of the sts,
resulting in a much denser fabric.

Row 1: With the size G crochet hook and 2 strands of white yarn, make a magic circle.
Ch 1, 7 hdc, close the row with a sl st ­ 8 sts.

the row, close the row with a sl st ­ 16 sts.

Row 2: Ch 1, 2 sc in the same st, Inc (2 sc in the next st), 3 sc, *Inc (2 sc in the next
st) 3 times, 3 sc, *Inc (2 sc in the next st) 2 times, close the row with a sl st ­ 21 sts.
Row 3: Ch 1, Inc (2 sc in the next st), 1 sc, Inc (2 sc in the next st), 5 sc, Inc (2 sc in the
next st), 1 sc, Inc (2 sc in the next st), 5 sc, Inc (2 sc in the next st), 1 sc, Inc (2 sc in the

Leave a yarn tail long enough to sew the feet on the basket. Fasten off the yarn end as
shown in photos 17-19.

Sole (make 2)
(Crochet in the round): With 1 strand of pink yarn and size E crochet hook, make a
magic circle. Ch 2, 1 dc, 3 hdc, 3 dc, 3 hdc, 1 dc, close the row with a sl st ­ 12 sts.
Leave a yarn tail long enough to sew the sole on the foot.

Toes (make 6)
(Crochet in the round): With 1 strand of pink yarn and size E crochet hook, make a
magic circle. Ch 1, 7 sc, close the row with a sl st ­ 8 sts.
Leave a yarn tail long enough to sew the toes on the foot.
Ears (make 2)
Chain 12 sts with 2 strands of pink yarn and size G crochet hook.
Row 1: (Crochet in the round): 1 sc in the second chain from hook, 4 sc, 3 hdc, 2 dc,
Inc (6 dc in the next st), 2 dc, 3 hdc, 4 sc, close the row with a sl st ­ 26 sts.
Row 2: Change to white (2 strands). Ch 1, Inc (2 sc in the next st), 9 sc, *Inc (2 sc in
the next st) 5 times, 9 sc, Inc (2 sc in the next st), close the row with a sl st ­ 33 sts.
Row 3: Make a basic slip stitch edging of 33 sl sts.
Leave a yarn tail long enough to sew the ears on the basket.

Assembling
Sew the soles and toes on the feet as shown in the photos, then sew the feet onto the
basket, making sure they are symmetrical. Finally, sew the ears on the basket.
