 Lifting & shifting work

 Failure of load
 Mechanical failure
 Material lifting area should be barricaded properly.
 Unauthorized entry will be strictly prohibited.
 Used lifting equipment must be certified by competent person &
before starting work physical inspection should be done by
concerning supervisor or authorized personal on regular.
 The structure integrity of crane should be maintained, check for
any sign of corrosion.
 Proper tag/guy rope to be used.
 Monthly inspection of colour code shall provide for lifting tools
tackles.
 Lifting tackles, slings, wire rope, eyebolts and shackles should be
tested/examined daily.
 Ensure qualified signal man to be engaged with visible vest, flag.
 Only one man gives signal to operator.
 All the lifting gears to be third party certified, form-10.
 Work permit must be obtain before starting the work.
 Overhead power lines proper distance must be maintained.
 Ground survey shall be done before lifting and shifting of
materials.
 The persons who are holding the tag ropes shall keep safe
distance from material.
 10 km/h speed allowed when shifting of material.
 Vehicle inspection shall carry out prior to deploy at site.
