PROJECT, PROPOSED ONE STORY RESIDENTIAL

BUILDING LOCATION: KIDAPAWAN CITY, NORTH COTABATO

CONSTRUCTION SPECIFICATION

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

All part of the constructions shall be finished with the first-class workmanship to the
fullest talent and meaning of the plane and these specfications and to the entire satisfaction of
the Project ENGINEER and OWNERS. The construction shall conform to all requirements of the
National Buliding code as well ss the local rules and regulations of the City of Kickpawan

CLEARING THE SITE:

The building site shall be leveled cccording to the plans and deared of rubbish, roos and
other perishable objectable matters to us suitable subgrade. All sach unsuitable material shall
be removed from the building site and spread uniformly cver the areas adjacent to the
proposed building or otherwise disposed of as may be directed by the engineer in charge of the
construction.

STAKING OUTLINE:

The lInes shall be stakad out and all Ines and grades in the drawings establisheci before
any excavation started. Better boards and raferences mark shall be srected at such a place
whare they will not disturb during the excavation of the building.

EXCAVATION:
All excavation stall be made to grade indicated in the drawing. Where the site is covered
with any kind of fit, the excavation for footing should be made deegar until the stratum operfor
sals bearing capacity of the soil as reached.

Whenever water is en countanied in the excavation procesas, shall be ramoved by


beiling of bumping care being takers that the surrounding soil particles are not disturbed or
remove.

BACKFILLS:

After concrete for foundation is hard enough to withstand pressure resulting for fils the

lamping and rolling.

FORMS FOR CONCRETE WORKS:

All farms for concrete works shall be properly braced on tied together so se to mainten
the concrete posison and shape of the concralia members. Forms shalt be constructed
sufficiently taight to prevent buiging and seepage of water. Forms stall not be removed unst the
concrete s attained a sufficient strength to suppon its own weight and any foeds, that may be
ricovad sarier than the bottom forns but adderal post or shoring must be placed under e beams
until they attained their strength.

CONCRETE SLABS OR FILL:


Concrete slaa on shall be poured on the grawit bed or not less than 153mini cis Each
concrete siab course to be pounded shall be more than one meter-wide and each course sal be
poured alternataly in the indicated floor finish.

STEEL REINFORCING BARS:

All Steeler reinforcing bars to be used in this construction shall conset of round
deformed bars with lugs or projections on ther sides to a graster bod between the concrete and
the stee All the steel reinforcing bars shall be accuratety placed and secured again se
displacement by tying them together at each bar intersection with gauge 18 he wre The stew
reinforcing bars indicated for footing, columna, slabs, beams and other concrete members shall
of conform to the numbers, size and spacing as indicated in the drawing of schedule of sten:
Fairforcement No metal reinforcement shall be installed in place unless it is free from rust,
scale or other coatings which will destroy or reduce the bond with the concrete,

CONCRETE HOLLOWBLOCKS:

All concrete Hollow Blocks shall be generally accepted brand, passed to the bureau of
standards for installation and sizes shall be 4”x 8” x 16”(100mm) and 6”x8”x16”(150mm)as
specified.

All CHB shall be laid plumb, true to line, with level and accurately spaced courses, and
shall reveal corners plumb and true with each courses breaking joints halfway with the course
below.

Units shall be wetted before laying; joints shall be 3/8” mortar. The mortar on both
horizontal and vertical joints shall be battered on the blocks at the time of laying not flushed or
grouted in place.

CONCRETE WORKS:
All concrate shall be moved thonaughly until there is a uniform datribution of the
comere and aggregates and should be deposited as nearly as practicable in is final position, care
being taken to avoid segregation of the aggregates Water to be used for mising concrete shall
be fres from injurious amoures of Il acids, alkalis, salt and other organio materiais.

PROPORTIONING OF CONCRETE

All concrate works shall be done in accordance stanciard spacification for plain and
reinforce corereda ass adopted by the covernment, camant to be used shall be Partisend
cement The following proportion of concrete mixture shall be used far the various part of the
building.

All works shall be in accordance with the latest standard specifications for concrete
materials, as adopted by the government, and the following proportions shall be used unless
otherwise indicated.

CLASS “A” (1.2.3) For all elevated slabs, beams, columns and septic tank cover.

CLASS “B” (1.2.4) For all concrete footings and foundation

CLASS “C” (1.3.6) For all concrete slabs on fill.

Joints and plastering mortar shall be composed of one part Portland cement, and one part
gravel and six (6) part fine sand. Clean water shall be added to this mixture to form a workable
paste. Plastering shall be applied in one coat to a thickness of ¼”-1/2” worked to a smooth
finished. Surface shall be wetted before plastering, and the finished surface shall be kept wet for
at least 72 hours.

TRUSS WORKS
ROOFINGS:

The rocting panels shall be 0.15MTRS (6") in thickness. Eaxh layer be thoroughly
tamped. Materials not used shall be removed bythe contractor outside the premises as
directed by thearchitect. Provided that the contract shall not be requiredto removed such
materials more than two (2) meters.

PLUMBING WORKS:

All plumbing works for this project shall be done in accordance with the approved plans
and under the direct supervision and control of a licensed saritary engineer or master plumber.
Plumbing instalation shall conform to the provision of the national plumbing coca and the rules
and regulation enforced by the locality

ELECTRICAL WORKS:

The electrical installation shall be accordance with the approved plans under the direct
supervision and control of a licensed electrical engineer or master electrician.

All electrical work and material shall conform to the provision of the latest edison of
the Philippines or national electric code. All slectrical wiring shall be installed through coil cable
PVC electrical conduit, fittings and aapuriana noas that conforms IOS dimensions .

The type of electrical services to be supplied to the burding shall be 220 AC systems.

There shall only be one service drop wire from the nearest electrical company pole to the
proposed buliding. Electric wires for light and power must have minimim size of 2.2 mm² THHN
for switch and lighting line 5.5mm² for power line in 20mm diameter PVC conduit.

The spare circuit shall be provided with empty PVC pipe. The grounding wire shall be
icentified and all wires be calor coded for easy identification
The panel board shall be provided with a circuit crectory.

MECHANICAL WORKS:

All mechanical works for this project shall be done in accordance with the approved
plans and under the direct supervision und control of a Professional mechanical engineer.
Machanical installation shall conform with the provision of the rational mechanical code and
the rules and reguition enforced by the loca ity
