Ni: Concepcion C. Gapayao

Sa sarong barangay sa siyudad nin Legazpi nakaistar an

magbakal ki bulong, kaya dali-dali siyang nagduman sa tindahan
sa saindang barangay. Kan siya naglalakaw pauli sa saindang
harong, may nailing siya na sarong pulang pitaka. Ini dali-dali
niyang pinurot dangan nabigla siya kan ini saiyang buksan. “Wow!
Dakulon na kuwarta. Mayaman na kami” taramon niya sa saiyang
sadiri.
Maugmag ibinareta ini ni Karen sa saiyang ina. “Mama
nakapurot po akong pulang pitaka,”dangan ipinahiling niya ini sa
saiyang ina.
“ Karen ibalik mo ini sa tagsadiri. Pitaka ini ni Tiya Yolly”,
sabi kan saiyang ina.
“Nata po kaipuhan kong ibalik? Napurot ko lang po baga
iyan kaya dai ko po iuuli.Sayang man po dakul na kitang kwarta
mama, mababakal ko na an mga gamit ko dangan dakul na
pagkaon”,paliwanang ni Karen.
“Bako iyan tama Karen, dai dapat pag interesan an bagay
na bako mo pagsadiri. Ano man an bagay na saimong napurot
kaipuhan ibalik sa tagsadiri. Maging honesto sa gabos na oras
may nakakailing man o wara. Kaya magduman ka na sa harong
ninda Tiya mo Yolly ta baka mas kaipuhan niya an kwarta na iyan.
Sigurado ako nag hahanap na siya kan saiyang pitaka.”
Naliwanagan si Karen sa taramon kan saiyang ina, kaya
maugma siyang nagluwas sa harong dangan ibinalik niya ang
pulang pitaka sa tunay na tagsaddiri. Grabe an pasalamat ni Tiya
Yolly kay Karen. “Salamat Karen, saro kang honestong aki na
dapat pangarugan nin mga kaakian.” Resibihon mo ining diit na
gratipikasyon saimo sa karahayan kan saimung puso. Bakalon
mo an pagkaon na gusto dangan bulong ni mama mo.”
“Salamat po Tiya Yolly”, maugmang pasasalamat ni Karen.
