2. Name FIVE basic needs for any individuals.
3. Analyse your five basic needs and arrange them in order of importance, from important to
least important.
4. Discuss the order of your five needs with a partner and after your discussion change the
order of your list if you think you need to.

1. Learners are to use their own words. The answer should include the point that they are
needed to survive.
2. The five basic needs for any individual are water, food, clothing, shelter and sanitation, but
they may also include love, primary healthcare and basic education.
3 & 4 Learners to decide but they should be able to justify their choices.
