The United Architects of the Philippines is the Integrated and Accredited Professional
Organization of Architects (IAPOA) in the Philippines with more than 42,000 members.
The United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) was born on December 12, 1974
Architects work closely with other professionals, such as engineers and contractors, to
ensure that the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the client's
satisfaction.

Profile
The UAP has a membership numbering more than 44,000, which is 100% of the total
registered architects at the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC).
The UAP has been involved in addressing housing problems, urban degradation,
environmental conservation, and promoting volunteerism for socio-economic development.
That time there are three (3) existing architectural associations at that time - the
Philippines Institute of Architects (PIA), the League of Philippine Architects (LPA) and
the Association of Philippine Government Architects (APGA).

Profile
The UAP has received numerous awards, including the PRC's Most Outstanding Accredited
Professional Organization, which it has won eight times.
The UAP's advocacy group, the "Green Architecture Movement," received the 2009 Father Neri
Satur Award for Environmental Heroism.
The UAP was awarded the EAROPH 50th Golden Jubilee Award in recognition of its contribution
to the advancement of Planning, Development, and Management of Human Settlements in the
Philippines.
The UAP encourages its members to provide pro bono services and supports values such as
sustainable design, diversity, and elevating the profession's stature.

The United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) works to advance our nation’s quality of life and
protect the public’s health, safety and welfare, as it has done for more than 40 years ago.
The United Architects of the Philippines (UAP) works to advance the nation's quality
of life and protect the public's health, safety, and welfare.
The UAP has objectives such as cooperating with the Board of Architecture (BOA)
and other government agencies, endorsing practice of foreign nationals, monitoring
compliance, and filing complaints for violations.

In order for the UAP to unite the registered and licensed architects in the
Philippines, promote the aesthetic, scientific and business practice of
architecture; advance architectural standards of continuing education, training
and practice; and build relationships among clients, the construction industry
and architects, the following mission is adopted:
