There are three types dialogues here (taking order, Offering Special Services and Valet) in
Laundry. Your task is :

1. Read the dialogue below and classify the expressions of the laundry staff (employee) in each
dialogue and translate them into Bahasa Indonesia!
(Baca percakapan di bawah ini dan kelompokkan apa yang sudah di ucapkan staf laundry)

2. Make 1 dialogue of taking order, 1 dialogue of Offering Special Services and 1 dialogue of
Valet with your friend (1 group = 2 persons)!

3. You can do the assignment in a form of PPT, Infografis, video, poster, etc, it is up to your
group discussion (hasil pekerjaan bisa di buat dalam bentuk PPT, infografis, video, poster,
etc)

Do in group (kerjakan dalam kelompok, 1 kelompok = 2 orang, 1 pekerjaan)

Dialogue 1
E : Good morning, Laundry
G : Hello, this is room 214. I have some clothes to be washed. Could you collect them
please?
E : Yes, of course. I’ll come over straight away
G : Thank you
E : Thank you, Sir. Good bye.

Dialogue 2
E : Laundry, may I help you?
G : Yes, I have some shirts to be washed?
E : When do you need them, Sir?
G : Not, straight away
E : Will tomorrow morning be all right?
G : That’ll be fine. But I have a suit that I need pressed before seven this evening
E : I’m sorry, Sir. It won’t be possible for this evening
G : Oh well, never mind
Dialogue 3
E : Good afternoon, Laundry
G : Good afternoon. I’ve got some shirts to be ironed. Could you pick them up please?
E : Certainly, Madam. Could I have your room number please?
G : Room 355. The name’s James Brown
E : Thank you Miss Brown. I’ll send someone over right away
G : Thank you
E : Thank you, Madam. Good bye

2. OFFERING SPECIAL SERVICES

Dialogue 1
G : How long will it take?
E : It’s same-day service. If you give us the clothes before 10 a.m. Madam. It will be ready
at about 2 p.m.
G : What about after 10 a.m.?
E : if you give us laundry after 10 a.m.. it won’t be ready until tomorrow afternoon, Madam
G : Oh, that’s so long. I need it today
E : there’s a special express service after 10 a.m., Madam. But there is an extra charge of
50%
G : I beg your pardon. How much is it?
E : It is 50% extra
G : Is that same day service, too?
E : Yes, Madam. It’s same-day service

Dialogue 2
E : When do you need the clothes, Sir?
G : at 6.00 p.m. this evening if possible.
E : Well, we have a special express service, Sir. If you give us the clothes now, we’ll return
them this evening
G : How much is it?
E : It’s 50% extra, Sir
G : Fine. Can you send someone over, please?
E : yes, I’ll come over straight away
G : and, the clothes will be ready at 6.00 p.m.?
E : we’ll do our best, Sir.

3. The Valet Service


V : Valet
G : Guest

V : (knocks on the door) Good morning, Valet


G : Come in
V : Good morning, Sir. You have some laundry to be done? ( you range about the laundry?)
G : That’s right, here it is. (the list not filled out)
V : Could I fill out the laundry list for you, Sir?
G : Of course. Thank you
V : So, that’s one pair of jeans, two shirts, a pair of underpants, and a pair of socks. Would
you like to check that, Sir?
G : yes, that’s right. Thank you, when will it be ready?
V : It’ll be ready after six o’clock this evening, Sir
