Opening Prayer

A. ACTIVITY
Task: Guess our Destination- Guess it to Win it!
Learners will guess the destination by giving letters
which exist in the name of the place/destination.
Learners who can guess a correct letter will be
asked to give and follow their own instructions
based on their names and birth months. A ticket
will be given to students who can give and follow
their own instructions. The teacher provided the
table below for this activity.

“Class, I am going to a trip and I want to give Students will listen to the teacher.

Imperative Verbs

Imperative sentence is directive, automatically the


one who is spoken to is the doer of the action. No
need to write the subject before the imperative verb.
The function of imperatives is to let someone to
make an action.

Examples:

Follow the safety protocols.


Keep a distance of at least 1 meter.
Put your facemask on.
Wash your hands properly.

2 Types of Imperatives

Teacher will ask the students.

Always bring alcohol with you.


Prepare your important documents.
Don’t touch the things in public places.
Don’t forget to disinfect your things.

Group Activity: Give me a sign!

The learners will be divided into 4 groups. Each


group will be given a card with a signage or picture
which will be used to give both positive and
negative imperative sentence from it.

Group 1:
“Wear your facemask.” “Wear facemask.”

Group 2:
“Don’t shake hands.”

Group 3:
“Wash your hands.” “Always wash your hands.”

Group 4: “Don’t touch your face.” “Don’t touch your nose.”

E. ASSESSMENT / EVALUATION

ICT Integration: The learners will listen to a song


with lyrics on screen. After listening to the audio.
The teacher will give a quiz for the learners.

Quiz: Imperatives
Based on the audio/video presented, identify if it is
positive or negative imperative. Write P for positive
imperative and N for negative imperative. Put your
answers in the space provided before each item.
