1. Who do you think was Kei? Why did he start showing bruises?
2. What were the narrator’s feelings for Kei? When she dreamt about him, she said she ‘wanted to
be wet with his water,’ and when she woke up she says she ‘realized she wasn’t a girl anymore.’
What do these statements mean?
3. What do you think happened to Kei in the end?
4. There are references to Monuvu folklore in the story, but it is not mentioned if the narrator is
Monuvu. Do you think the supernatural of one culture also happens to those from other cultures?
