the blocks due to his
interest.
PLANNING
Objective for future holistic learning and development
Experience rationale
This was derived from Ezra’s mum who informed of his interest in
painting.
Language – Ezra used words such as yellow, stem and leaves.
Development and learning goal:
Physical – Ezra used his fingers to paint using natural resources (fine
motor skills).
Experience outline:
This activity will be presented on a table with a blank paper, yellow colour,
paint brush and a branch with leaves for painting.
(Istock, 2024)
Principle 1 – Secure, respectful and reciprocal relationships
EYLF child evidence links
Principle 6 – Sustainability
Practice 1 – Holistic, integrated and interconnected approaches
Practice 3 – Play – based learning and intentionality
Implementation plan Introduction During group activity, I informed all the children that they will be doing an
art and craft of one activity which they did when they played outside. All
the children sat down and they were shown the resources which they will
use to complete their art and craft activity.
PLAC907 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 1 (3-5 YEARS): DOCUMENTATION, ASSESSMENT AND PLANNING RECORD
PLAC907 PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE 1 (3-5 YEARS)
Body Ezra who has a skill of painting using paint brush was given an activity
which involved the use of leaf stems to create prints on a piece of paper.
He used the leaf stems as a prop and applied yellow colour to cover them,
then applied pressure with his hands to the paper. This enabled him to
establish a connection between the idea of mapping and identifying areas
where he might print the remaining colour.
Conclusion This exercise facilities his exploration of hand – eye coordination, colour
exploration and learning of creative techniques for making artwork by not
using a paintbrush.
