У изразу са сабирањем и одузимањем без заграда, од укупног броја ученика,
77.4% је тачно израчунало вредност израза (тачно је урадило задатак 1а), а када су у
изразу коришћене заграде, 91.1% ученика је тачно израчунао вредност израза (тачно
урадио задатак 2а). Такође, увођењем заграда у израз са операцијама множења и
дељења расте успешност у њиховом решавању (са 81.3% на 83.3%). Али, поређењем
успешности ученика у решавању задатака који се садржински односе на изразе са две
рачунске операције (сабирање и одузимање), а којима смо испитивали успешност
ученика у поступцима рачунања, Хи-квадрат тест подударања није показао да постоји
статистички значајна разлику у броју ученика који су тачно израчунали вредност
израза у задатку са сабирањем и одузимањем без употребе заграда (задатак 1а) и са
употребом заграда (задатак 2а): χ2 (1, N = 257) = 2.83, p = 0.09. Исто тако, не постоји
статистички значајна разлика у броју ученика који су тачно израчунали вредност
израза у задатку са множењем и дељењем без употребе заграда (задатак 3а) и са
употребом заграда (задатак 4а): χ2 (1, N = 257) = 0.06, p = 0.81.Успешност ученика на
компонентама задатака које се односе на рачунање вредности израза представљена је у
Табели 2.

значајна разлика у броју ученика који су уопштили правило у изразима са множењем и
дељењем без употребе заграда (задатак 3б) и броја ученика који су уопштили правило
у изразима са множењем и дељењем са употребом заграда (задатак 4б): χ2 (1, N = 257) =
8.70, p = 0.03. И у овом случају, већи је број ученика који је уопштио правило у
изразима са заградама (62.6%), од броја ученика који је уопштио правило у изразима
без заграда (38.5%).
