METHODOLOGY

The main tool used in this study was this chapter contains the respondent ,locale of the study,
research design and research instrument that present a procedure and the method that will be used in the
study.

A. Research Design

The researcher used descriptive evaluates, descriptive evaluation studies describe the process and
impact of the development and implementation of a system. In this study that aims to determine the
Impact of Time Management of the SGC Officers Academic Performance in Busco Academy-MPC.

In descriptive writing method, Camorin (1994) as cited by Bagayan (2006), wrote the study focuses
on the present condition. The purpose is to find new truth, which may come in different forms such as
increased quantity of knowledge, a new generalization, or increased insights into factors, which are
operating, the discovery of a new casual relationship, a more accurate formulation of the problem to be
solved and many others.

B. Locale of the Study

The respondent of this study were the 18 SGC officers of Busco Academy-MPC year 2022-2023.
C. Sampling Technique

The researchers randomly selected to the respondent of this study were there is an equal chance to be
in sample population. Random sampling is a part of the sampling technique in which each sample has an
equal probability of being chosen. A sample chosen randomly is meant to be an unbiased representation
of the total population.

D. Research Instrument

A researcher made a questionnaire checklist; set of questioner was conducted for the student
respondent. The questionnaire checklist consisted the student how much is the impact of time
management to the SGC officers academic performance.

In this questioner checklist obtained the Impact of Time Management to the SGC Officers Academic
Performance presented in this statement. These are given on set of five checkboxes each of the five
checkboxes was ranked as;

5 Strongly Agree

4 Agree

3 Neutral

2 Disagree

1 Strongly Disagree

Respondents of the Study

The researcher selected only 18 students coming from Busco Academy-MPC for the school year
2022-2023. The respondents vary from their socio-demographic profile as to family, school, behavior and
extracurricular activities.

Scoring Procedure

In analyzing the data from respondent’s response, the data were tallied using the following weight
points, always practice will be given a point of 5, Strongly Agree, practice will be given a point of 4,
Agree, practice will be given a point of 3, Neutral, practice will be given a point of 2, Disagree, and
Strongly Disagree practice will be given a point of 1.

The frequency on each scale was multiplied by their corresponding weight of point and the result
was added to get the weight scores. Then it was divided by the number of respondents to get the value of
each item.

E. Data Research Gathering Procedure

We the researcher gathered the data by providing questionnaire to our respondents which is the
SGC Officers in Busco Academy-MPC. This research is approves by the Busco Academy-MPC
principal. The data that gathered on this research will remain confidential and for academic purpose
only.

Review of Related Literature

According to Peter F. Drucker (1909-2005), “Time is the scarcest resource of the manager, if it is
not managed, nothing else can be managed”

The only thing, which cannot be changed by man, is time. Whatever the position the man holds,
one cannot stop time, cannot slow it down, nor can he speed it up. One cannot get back the time lost.
Nothing can be substituted for time. Leaders have numerous demands that are to be completed within
a limited time. Yet, to be effective a leader manages time. The ability to schedule time to complete
the task is known as time management. If we analyze how we are spending our time, we can find the
time wasted. If we implement some time saving methods, we will gain valuable time (Bharathi, T et
al., 2004).

“Controlling your life means controlling your time and controlling your time means controlling
the events in your life” (Murthy, 2006).
