II. Objectives
At the end of the day, students will be able to:
1. Read and understand the article about SOLUTION.
2. Familiarize some scientific terms in the article and give their meaning.
3. Write sentences using the select scientific terms.

III. Learning Materials

 Printed reading article with questionnaire.

IV. Procedure
1. Distribute the reading material to students.
2. Let students find these words in the article and discuss the meaning of
each word;
a. HOMOGENOUS – like, same kind
b. EXHIBIT– display, show
c. DISSOLVE – liquefy, melt, break down
d. SOLUBILITY– ability of substance to dissolve or be dissolved
e. SALINE – salt in water
f. COMPONENT – part of a whole, ingredient

3. Perform item analysis
4. Let students identify their current reading profile and update their
progress chart.

Make a sentence using one of the vocabulary words on a ¼ sheet of paper
