Work done:

In this week, my task was still to verify whether all documents have been submitted by the
clients. However, I was allowed to fill up the account opening forms using the information from
the documents provided by the clients. I also carried out risk grading after filling out the forms
which helps to classify the clients as either a high risk client or a low risk client. The accounts
which I mainly dealt with this week were the M UDARAVA Savings Deposits (MSD) and Al-
WADEAH Current Deposits (AWCD). Compared to last week, my workload was heavier as I
had more responsibilities.
The client is given a unique account number which can identify what type of scheme has been
undertaken by the client. For example, from the account number 0071215511980, the numbers
121 determine that the account is a MSD account and if the numbers were 111 instead of 121,
the account would be classified as an AWCD account. The initial deposit that is required to be
made by a client is Tk. 1000.
Learning and achievement:

Firstly, I came to know more about different types of account number like “121”, “111” and then
verifying documents like NID using their software and after that printing the verified version of
the NID. Secondly, I learnt the process of risk grading after filling out the forms which helps to
classify the clients as either a high risk client or a low risk client. The personal details and the TP
is used for carrying out the risk grading of the account. If the total risk score is above 14, the
client is identified as a high risk client and if the total score is less than 14, the client is identified
as a low risk client. According to BFIU circular, the accounts of high risk clients have to be
regularly monitored including their transactions.
Observation:
I observed good communication with my peers. They were helpful and at the same time they
were happy to make me learn new things. But, work ing in bank needs patience and dedication
because the working hours are long and employees have to do various activities at a time so,
they’ve to be cautious about their works as the task itself is very sensitive. There is no room for
any mistakes in Banks as they are directly dealing with customers’ money.

Notable incidents:
Nothing happened.
