LESSON OUTLINE NOTES
1. Play a game to introduce the two topics (jobs & places) Call out names of
STARTER/SET some jobs and places. Ask children to put up one hand if they hear a job
INDUCTION and 2 hands if they hear a place (e.g. doctor, lawyer, library, hospital,
supermarket, school, teacher, photographer, etc).
1. Refer pupils to the picture on pages 6-7. Ask What can you see in the
picture? What are they doing?
Have pupils work in pairs to find three words beginning with the letters p,
s, b, f, and c. Set time limit for this activity and then check answers as a
class.
2. Read out loud the first category (parts of a plant or animal) and the
MAIN ACTIVITIES example answer. The pupils look at the picture and provide more ideas.
Continue reading the categories. The pupils suggest some ideas and write
down the words in their books.
3. Work in pairs. Have 2 pupils read out the dialogue in the speech bubbles.
Ask pupils to look at the picture and check if the sentences are true or
false. Ask a volunteer to correct the false statement (Some people are
surfing in the sea)
On the board, write one or two sentences pupils made mistakes in. Ask pupils to
