Content Standard: Pre-lesson: Teacher mime to open the textbook in front of pupils.

Main: 1.2 Understand meaning in a variety of familiar Lesson delivery:

1. Pupils look through textbook page 68. Pupils can ask if there are
any words that they don’t understand.

Complementary: 1.2 Understand meaning in a variety of 2. Teacher plays audio CD2 34 and acts out based on the pictures
familiar contexts while pupils listen and watch.

Learning Standard:
Main: 1.2.3 Understand with support very short simple
narrative
Complementary: 1.2.4 Understand an increased range of
short basic supported classroom instructions
3. Teacher replays the audio and this time pupils act out the story
with the teacher.
4. Pupils copy Activity 2 from textbook page 68 into their exercise
books.
5. Pupils look at the pictures and try to sequence them. The audio
can be played again if pupils are not able to sequence.
Post-lesson: Pupils compare their answers in pairs.
