Cumulus clouds These are puffy, white clouds that look like cotton
balls. They are formed by rising air currents and are often seen on
fair-weather days. Cumulus clouds can grow tall and dark,
transforming into thunderstorms.
Stratus clouds These are gray, sheet-like clouds that cover large
areas of the sky. They are formed by the lifting of moist air and can
produce light drizzle or snow.
