Module 1

Task 1:

1. Section 2 – Declaration Policy of RA 9163 states that “It is hereby affirmed the prime

duty of the government to serve and protect its citizens. In turn, it shall be the

responsibility of all citizens to defend the security of the State and in fulfillment thereof,

the government may require each citizen to render personal, military, or civil service.”

How can you contribute to the State as a student of NSTP?

- As a student of NSTP whose primary objective is to enhance civic consciousness and defense
preparedness of us by developing the ethics of service and patriotism while undergoing trainings
for the youth’s active contribution to the general welfare, I think I can contribute to the state by
applying all I’ve learned in our NSTP program in real and actual life. The application of all the
learnings and experiences I’ve gained through this program could definitely help me contribute
to my own country. In fact, taking this program is already a contribution to the state because it
only means that we are willing to learn to serve the country. It may be in the field of CWTS or
ROTC, we students entering this training ground are bound to render personal, military or civil
service in the present times or in the future.

2. In your own words, how do you define National Service Training Program?

- In my perspective, the National Service Training Program from the word itself is a program under
which students are being mold to become a responsible citizen who can serve the country
through the trainings they will undergo with the help of the higher up. This program will
enhance the student’s abilities and capabilities as a citizen in different aspects relating in
providing service for the country.

3. Have you participated in voluntary, civic consciousness activity, or community

immersion programs before? Tell us about your experience

- As an introverted person, it become so hard for me to participate in voluntary, civic

consciousness activity, or community immersion programs before, but way back when I was in
elementary, I experience doing some community service on our barangay. Our school focuses on
doing environmental protection. We are mainly task to do different cleanings on the places
inside and outside the school. Looking back, doing things to protect our environment is a fun
activity of my elementary life. I am forever beyond proud with my elementary self, because of
the help she can contribute to the environmental state of the country even at the young age.
This experience taught me on becoming a responsible citizen contributing to the environmental
state of our country.
