thanks to God Almighty for his inclusion in making this study tour
report

Thank you so much to:

1. The headmaster of VHS Migas Cepu, Mr. Kris Budiyanto, that has
given us an opportunity for the students of VHS Migas Cepu to do
" KI " or Study Tour in East Java – Bandung for 5 days. It is really
a opportunity for us to have new knowledge and experience
directly from the expert .

CHAPTER I

INTRODUCTION

1. Background
Study tour is a student learning program directly to
the field, by seeing and observing automatically there will be
a feeling of curiosity of students and the desire of students to

 ask more questions. Study Tour is an annual activities in
VHS MIGAS CEPU that it’s used for the student to know
about all of the drilling industry in Bandung – West Java.
2. Purpose
- To give the students opportunity to known better about

all of the machine that it’s used to drilling an oil and gas
in companies that we visited.
- To give the students opportunity to known better about
the link and match of the schools’ matter and the
requirement of the companys’ worker

Kunjungan Industri di Pertamina Aset 4 Cepu (Menden).

08.00 Diperkirakan tiba di Pertamina Aset 4 Cepu

12.00 Sholat Dhuhur berjama’ah cari masjid sambil jalan.

13.00 Bertemu di Wirosari dengan rombongan yang berangkat dari Cepu.

Melanjutkan perjalanan menuju ke RM. Kurnia Jatim Kendal.

17.00 Sampai di RM. Kurnia Jatim Kendal

 CHAPTER II

INDUSTRIAL TOUR

A. PT ELNUSA
when we all arrived at PT ELNUSA, we could see the
drilling tools placed in our bus parking area. after the bus
was parked, we got off the bus and marched to
immediately enter the office inside PT ELNUSA.
but at that time we had to wait a while to enter. while
waiting for that moment, we explained about the existing
safety procedures so that if something unexpected
happens, we are ready. after that we were allowed to
enter but only some children because the place was not
enough for us all to enter. when we entered the room for
the presentation, we were shown and explained about
Gamma ray Logging that we know as a General and
inexpensive measurement of natural emissions of gamma
rays by formation. Gamma ray logs are very helpful
because shales and sandstones usually have different
gamma ray signs that can be easily correlated between
wells.

B. PT GEOTHERMAL ENERGY KAMOJANG

after we finished visiting PT ELNUSA, we went again to
one of the geothermal drilling industries in Garut. PT.
Pertamina Geothermal Energy (PGE) Kamojang which is
a subsidiary of Pertamina which is engaged in the
geothermal field. As we know, Pertamina is the largest
geothermal company in Indonesia. Geothermal potential
in Indonesia reaches 29,000 MW or 40% of world
reserves. Of the total, only around 8% have been
utilized.

Please note that in the National Energy Policy, the use

of Renewable New Energy (EBT) is targeted at 23% at
2025 and 31% by 2050. Therefore, the Ministry of
Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) through the
Directorate General of New Renewable Energy and
Energy Conservation continue to optimize geothermal
energy as one of the sources of EBT.

 TOURISM ATTRACTION TOUR

A. CIATER HOT SPRING

The first tourist spot we visit is Ciater hot spring. there
the air is very cold and the sky is foggy because the
place is in the mountains. When we arrived there, we
took pictures with friends and after that we left the
parking area immediately
enter the hot spring area. and after satisfying the bath
there, we went out and relaxed for a while while
waiting for direction from the tour guide. After that,we
continue the trip to dinner place.

B. PASAR BARU BANDUNG

the next tourist spot we visited was Pasar Baru
Bandung. there teachers and students are welcome to
shop. we were given 2 hours to shop but to be honest,
I'm not interested in shopping there haha lol. and after
that we continued the trip to Trans Studio Bandung.

C. TRANS STUDIO BANDUNG

when we arrived, I was very happy because I had never
traveled to this place. before we enter, we are given a
coupon that is used to be exchanged for food. after that
we entered and we played all the game rides that were
there. we also had a photo there. after playing, we had
lunch and after that we went on to cibaduyut.

D. CIBADUYUT
after that we went to the shopping center, Cibaduyut. as
usual we are welcome to shop. at that time I bought a
shoe for my mother. and after that we returned to
continue the journey to the Kamojang Train Crater.

E. KAMOJANG TRAIN CRATER

we arrived at the crater of the Kamojang train. there we
were shown an attraction from an old man. he
contracted using hot steam from the existing crater.
after we were satisfied we saw the show, we took
pictures and started climbing up to see the existing
crater

CLOSING
A. Conclusion
Based on my experience in this study tour, I learned
a lot more about oil and gas drilling and geothermal
drilling. I also learned about the togethernessthat I got
during this study tour.
B. Suggestion
KI this year are almost perfect because we got the
opportunity to visited and got a new knowladge from
the expert But, for the better KI in next year I have
some suggestions for the comittee. The suggestions are:
1. Give the students more time in the company. This

aims to give the students opportunity to get more

information about this company/sharing with the
trainer personally. To raelize it, the comittee can
discuss first about the schedule with the travel
agency and the company, so the suggestion
maybe can be realize.
2. Give the students opportunity to ….
hopefully my suggestions can be realize in the KI
next year. If it can be applicate in KI next year, I think
this activities can run better and the students can get
more knowladges from this activities.
