What are voice levels? When do we use them?
Voice levels are the levels at which we We use different voice levels throughout
project our voices when we speak. the school for different reasons.
For example:

• We use voice level 0 when we are in the hallway.

• We use voice level 1 when we are whispering to


our friends.

• We use voice level 2 when speak in small


groups in class. That is our normal speaking
voice.

• We use voice level 3 when we are speaking to


the whole class.

• We use voice level 4 outside on the playground.

Voice levels are very important.


Behavior Expectations:
Arrival
• Line up in designated area and wait for the bell to ring.

• Walk inside of the school at voice level 0.

• Walk to your classroom in the 3rd tile from the wall on the right.

• Quietly place your belongings in your locker.

• Follow all staff directions.


Behavior Expectations:
Hallway
• Use voice level 0.

• Walk in the 3rd tile from the wall on the right along the colored tape.

• Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.

• Keep hands at your side or folded.

• Respect all artwork and displays.

• Use star stops.


Behavior Expectations:
Classroom
• Use appropriate language and voice level.

• Use kind words.

• Raise your hand to speak.

• Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.

• Respect everyone’s response.

• Be prepared.

• Follow directions.
Behavior Expectations:
Restroom (All students must go to the restroom before
lunch.)
• Use voice level 0.

• Respect others’ privacy.

• Clean up after yourself.

• Flush the toilet.

• Wash your hands with soap.

• Get in and out of the restroom quickly.

• Report any issues to a staff member.


Behavior Expectations:
Auditorium
• Use voice level 0.

• Get seated quickly.

• Sit in the seat with your eyes on the speaker.

• Sit with your hands still, and your feet on the floor.

• Respect the speaker.

• Stay seated until your class has been called.

• Flip your seat up with care.


Behavior Expectations:
Lunchroom (All students must be taken to the restroom
before lunch.)
• Walk to your table in an orderly fashion.

• Use voice level 1.

• Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.

• Stay in your seat until your table is called.

• Only eat your food.

• Throw your trash away when your table is called.

• Line up in an orderly fashion once your teacher arrives.

Dojo Points will be earned from lunchroom behaviors!


Behavior Expectations:
Playground
• Use appropriate voice level and language.

• Walk in line to the playground.

• Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.

• Take turns.

• Follow directions of staff members.

• Leave objects on the ground.

• Stay on the playground.

• Line up when your class has been called.


Behavior Expectations:
Dismissal
• Line up quietly in your classroom.

• Use voice level 0.

• Walk in line 3rd tile from the wall, on the right, and along the colored tape.

• Exit through your assigned door.

• Go directly home or wait for your ride

with your teacher.


Behavior Expectations:
Bus (Only students who ride the bus are dismissed when
the bus riders are called.)
• Use voice level 0 in the hallway.

• Walk in line to the bus in an orderly fashion.

• Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.

• Share seats.

• Follow directions of the bus driver.

• Be kind and use kind words.

• Use voice level 1.

• Stay seated until you arrive at your stop.
