Lakan Dula was the regnal
name of the last Lakan of
the pre-colonial Indianized
Tondo polity when the
Spaniards first conquered
the lands of the Pasig
River delta in the
Philippines, in the 1570s.
Andres Malong was the maestro-de-campo
(master of camp) of Pangasinan during the 1600’s
and was also known as the leader of a bloody
revolt against the Spaniards that lasted from 1660-
1661 in Pangasinan. He originally hailed from
Binalatongan, now San Carlos City, Pangasinan.
Malong is also as the self-proclaimed “King of
Pangasinan” (Hari ng Pangasinan).
Francisco Dagohoy, was a
Boholano who holds the
distinction of having initiated the
longest revolt in Philippine
history, the Dagohoy Rebellion.
This rebellion against the
Spanish colonial government
took place on the island of Bohol
from 1744 to 1828, roughly 85
years.
Pinamunuan ni Francisco Dagohoy o si Francisco Sendrijas sa totoong buhay, ang
may pinakamatagal na rebelyon sa kasaysayan ng Pilipinas. Nagsimula ang pag-
aalsa ni Dagohoy nang tanggihan ng kura paroko na si Gaspar Morales na bigyan
ng Kristyanong libing ang kanyang kapatid na namatay. Pinatay niya ang pari at
hinikayat ang mamamayan ng Bohol na bumangon at lumaban sa mga Espanyol.
Namundok sila at nagtatag ng isang malayang pamahalaan sa kabundukan.
