Similar to the artists name, ‘For you’ is white against the black to stand out yet still keep with in the colour scheme. ‘For You’ is written in italics which grabs the audiences attention as it is different to all the other bold fonts on the products. All the font for the in-depth information is consistent as it is the same throughout the ancillary products. This is effective as you can clearly see that they are promoting the same artist through the products.
The background image is a narrow path and
empty. The only person on the main cover we see is the main artist. The idea of the path being empty conveys to the audience that the song has elements of loneliness. This refers back to the title “For You”, the sense that the artist is looking for this person’s ‘love’ in order for him to not be lonely. The path at the end looks like it is going to meet, foreshadowing events of the video that the artist in the end will not be alone. It is clear to identify who is the artist as we can see the same performer in each of the products. There is also link between the main product and the ancillary products here which is easily recognizable. Branding The ancillary products portray an urban feel, which is seen through mise-en-scene. The background on the magazine advert is the inner- city which informs the audience the type of environment the artist is surrounded by. Also, the outfit the artist is wearing is urbanised yet sophisticated.
A typical RnB music video will have scenes
with a ‘black drop’. RnB videos are typically more urban and having this scene is conventional to this genre which the audience may identify with.
The location of the artist which is in the
inner-city, again brands the products and artist to be urbanised. Mode of address The Language used here illustrates that it is informal. The use of the word “plus” is an example of informal speech. This is effective as our audience are working/middle class which they will use informal speech.

which is in North-West London. Camden is in an urban environment which would have attracted the target audience. Mode of address/Representation The style of the artist conveys to a viewer that he is an urban, RnB artist. The majority, if not all RnB artist are informal. The clothes the artist is wearing here represents him to be informal and relaxed. In all three products the artist is dressed casually, which is effective as our target audience are able to identify with this style and can relate to it.
