Finance Business Plan

The finance Department is not required to produce a separate Business Plan because the entire

Business Plan.

Product Evaluation Form

Step 1:
Determine fixed costs
Fixed costs are the business expenses that remain the same, regardless of the number of products
produced or services provided. Wages, rent, marketing expenses, and equipment are examples of
fixed costs.

The sample table below illustrates the fixed costs encountered by most ISU mini companies. It
assumes a company of 10 employees meeting 12 weeks.

(Please note: wages are not paid for the first meeting.)

Expenses Fashion to Function

16 hours, ___ PHP per employee, (8 employees
A. F2F company employees’ wages (8 x ____ PHP = ______ PHP)
x 2 hours meetings @ ___ PHP/hour)
___ PHP per officer,
B. F2F officers wages (8 meetings @ __ (5 officers x ____ PHP = ______ PHP)
PHP/ meeting)

C. Rent and other fixed expenses, paid NA

to local F2F Area Office with sales tax
upon liquidation

D. Marketing supplies 400 PHP

E. Other 2000 PHP

F. Total fixed costs 6960 PHP

The Human Resources Department can tell you what the agreed-upon wage structure is. For
Fashion to Function, the wage structure does not differ from the one previously noted; it is the
same as the wage structure specified in the Charter/Bylaws. The Marketing Department should
recommend a marketing budget.

Note: Wages are variable costs because the number of workers and hours needed to produce an
item or good can vary as demand increases or decreases. In Fashion to Function, however,
workers typically are “employed” for a fixed number of hours. As a result, it is convenient to
think of wages as a fixed cost for the purposes of this exercise.

Step 2:
Determine variable costs
The company’s variable costs are the expenses that fluctuate or “vary” with the number of goods
produced and sold. For example, a company selling prepackaged candy will spend more on
material as production increases. Variable cost can be related to both production and the sales
process. For each unit sold, your company will have to pay sales commissions and sales tax. In
Step 3 on the following page, you will have an opportunity to calculate these sales-related
variable costs.

The following worksheet will help you estimate the variable cost of material when additional
units are produced. With assistance from the Production Department, you will estimate your
company’s material costs using the chart below.

Product Fashion to Function

A. Projected total cost of materials 5500 PHP

B. Divided by the number of units 40 UNITS

C. Material cost per unit 137.5 PHP

Step 3:
Determine prices
Now that you have determined the fixed and variable costs for your product, you can establish a
profitable price.

The following chart will help you determine your gross profit per unit at various test prices.
Gross profit is the difference between the price and the variable costs of producing and selling
your product.

● Enter one high and one low test price for your product. Include sales tax.
● Use the material cost per unit from Step 2.
● Calculate your gross profit per unit at different prices.

Test Test
Price #1 Price #2
A. Net price per retail unit 250 PHP 300 PHP
Variable Costs
B. Sales commissions (10%) -25 -30
C. Sales tax -12.5 -15
D. Material cost per unit -137.5 -137.5
(Step 2)
E. Gross per unit 75 PHP 117.5 PHP

Instructions:
Line A. Enter two test prices for your product. One price should be “high,” and the other “low.”

Line B. Enter the 10 percent sales commission cost.

Line C. Enter the city and state sales tax amount. In the example, the sales tax rate was five
percent (150 PHP x .0.05 = 7.5).

Line D. Enter the materials cost per unit from Step 2, Line C. Subtract Lines B, C, and D from
Line A, and enter the result on Line E.

Line E. This is your gross profit per unit—the difference between your price and the variable
costs per unit of production and sales.
Step 4:
Determine the break-even point
A break-even analysis frequently is used by manufacturing companies to set prices. It helps a
company determine the number of units that must be sold to cover costs (or break even).

Test Price #1 Test Price #2

Fixed Cost 6960 PHP 6960 PHP

Divide the Gross Profit per Unit 75 117.5

Break-Even Point (units) 93 units 60 units

Individual and Group Sales Goal

After you calculate the break-even point for the desired price, determine how many units each
employee will need to sell to break even. What about making a profit? After you reach the
break-even point, your company begins to make a profit. The more you sell, the more sales
commission you earn!

Group sales goal: ________________________________________________

Production Business Plan

The plan must be completed and attached to the final, comprehensive company Business Plan for
Meeting Five.

As members of the Production Department, you must establish a process to ensure that all
customers receive high-quality products. You need to decide on the “how, where, and who” of
product selection. Your plan should describe:

● The selected production processes.

● The quality-control procedures that will be put in place.
● The company’s production-goal schedule, including beginning and ending dates.
● The cost of packaging, labeling, and marketing the product.

Company Quality-Control Procedures

Marketing Business Plan

The marketing business plan establishes the methods that the company will use to accomplish
our goals. The process of marketing includes finding, understanding and meeting the needs of the
customer, as well as building the public awareness of the brand.

Marketing Analysis

Fashion To Function is a business brand that offers high-quality products that will remain the
best choice for our customers' daily and social life. The main purpose of our product is to serve
as an easy carryall, especially now that face-to-face classes are now lifted and also during those
busy days spent shopping or running errands. Our product comes in different shapes, and colors
which fit all sorts of occasion and purpose. Fashion to Function is motivated to use eco-friendly
satchels as an alternative to using plastic bags. Our product is innovative but also fashionable so
that the target market will be motivated to use eco-friendly satchels. Fashion To Function
understands that establishing this type of business is not easy because of the fact that we have a
lot of competitors, that’s why our company’s ultimate goal is to help our environment, that is a
significant reason to push through with the venture. In addition to this, our company’s long-term
goal is to make our brand popular and to reduce the use of plastic bags.

Marketing Strategy

● Distribution

The company satchels’ target market includes the cluster of students, teachers, and everyone
willing to consume our products. The company does not limit the scope of their market for the
people who are seeking to buy fashionable and functionable bags.

Fashion To Function will sell its products primarily by selling personal and online selling.
Personal selling allows the company for details and personal interaction between the sales team
and the potential buyer. Personal selling also gives our sales team the chance to individually
address any concerns and questions. Potential customers may have to move them closer to
purchase our product. Additionally, online selling is much more convenient nowadays. Wherein
customers can also purchase via online through different shopping platforms and social medias
like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Shopee and many more.

● Advertising/ Marketing

Determining the sales and marketing strategy is important to the company. Advertising is
important because it can drive our business growth. Without advertising we will be unable to
sustain the business and expand it in the next level that the company intends to. It would also
help the company to set us apart from our competitors and also allows us to favorably compete
with them. Without doing the right marketing strategies it will lead our company to a lot of
customers disappointment and potential ones will not be interested.

Therefore, the marketing and sales strategies that we will intend to adopt for are;

● Word of mouth
● Advertise our product on our social media platform like Facebook, Instagram, Twitter
and Tiktok
● Encourage our potential buyers through discounts especially those who want to order in
bulk for birthdays, weddings, and for corporate parties giveaways.

Moreover, all of our advertising materials will be (posters, via the internet, markers etc.) that will
cost us a total of zero.

● Sales Goals

To reach our goal of 40 units sold, each member of the company will need to sell at least 3-4
products.
