Questions
1. What is the total frequency
of the given data set?
2. Complete the frequency
distribution table. What is ΣfX?
3. How would you find the mean
of the given data set?
4. Find the mean of the set of
data.
Solve for the mean.
MEAN
𝒏
- The mean of grouped data frequency
distribution may be obtained in almost the
same ways as the mean of ungrouped data
is computed.
- All the scores included in a class interval
are represented by the midpoint or class
mark of that class interval.
- This class mark is multiplied by its
corresponding frequency: the product is
summed and divided by n.
Group Activity

Questions
1. What is the total frequency of the
given data set?
2. Complete the frequency distribution
table. What is class mark, lower
boundary, and cumulative frequency?
3. How would you find the median of
the given data set?
4. Find the median of the set of
data.
Solve for the median.
MEDIAN
Lb = Lower Class Boundary
n = total number of frequency
cf = cumulative frequency of the
groups before the median group
f = frequency of the median
group
i = is the group width
