Problem No. 10
•Find
  the density of fuel having a degree Baume
of 27.
A. 892.06 kg/
B. 882.06 kg/
C. 872.06 kg/
D. 862.06 kg/
•
Given:
°BAUME – 27

Required:
ρ or density of fuel

Solution:
Solve for the specific gravity of the fuel using the formula for
°BAUME
°BAUME = - 130.5
27= - 130.5
= 0.8920634921
•The
  Specific Gravity is the density of the fuel
over the density of the water
SG= , where = 1000
0.8920634921=
= 892.0634921

By solving for the specific gravity of the fuel and

multiplying it to the density of water we can
obtain the density of the fuel which is
892.0634921 , and the correct answer is Letter A
which is 892.06
