Main Topic
Aceh has many interesting things. In addition to
its thick and diverse culture, Aceh also has
culinary delights that are worth trying. One of
them is Mie Aceh. Mie aceh is a Indonesian
traditional food from Aceh. Mie Aceh is currently
very popular both in Indonesia and abroad. This
food uses yellow noodles and diverse
complements such as beef, mutton, or seafood
and the way it is served is varied, it can be served
dry, in soup, and boiled.
1. The History of Mie Aceh

Mie aceh is a typical Aceh dish made with a thick curry sauce.
This mie aceh uses yellow noodles and diverse complements such
as beef, mutton, or seafood. Mie aceh has two different of
presentation, the first mie aceh without soup the name is frying
mie aceh, and the second is mie aceh with soup. Mie aceh are
complemented with fried onion slice and served with emping
chips, sliced shallots, cucumber, and lime.

If you observe the thick sauce of mie aceh, it is a stick from
India and for the noodles using a recipe from china. The
presentation of using beef or mutton is influenced by a very
strong Islamic culture in Aceh. The addition of complements
such as seafood because aceh in geographically located
surrounded by oceans such as the strait of malaca, the andama
sea, and the Indian ocean. Mie aceh can be found in various
regions, because many aceh people open mie aceh outlet in

aceh no one has found the beginning from mie aceh. Even so,
some say that they are a combination of aceh, india, and china.

Apart from being known to have a lot of cultural
diversity, Indonesia is also known as one of the countries
that is rich in special foods, one of them is food from
Aceh. Apart from having a variety of traditions and
cultures, Aceh is also known to have a special foods.
Lots of authentic culinary delights from Aceh. And one
of them that is very famous is Mie Aceh.

In the cooking process, Mie Aceh uses special noodles
that are thick and flat. The color of the noodles tends to
be bright yellow. For the spices Mie Aceh is used a kind
of curry which is a special spice that can give a distinctive
taste too. Mie Aceh are generally served in three types,
ndry fried noodles, wet fried noodles, and fried noodles in
soup. As for the meat used as a mixture, it can be
adjusted.

Mie Aceh has six types. First, Mie Aceh Tumis, Mie Aceh Tumis are made dry like a stir fry. Use
slight water in the sautéing process, So the noodles will become dry. But it turns out that cooking
techniques like this, makes all the special noodle spices taste more delicious. Second, Mie Goreng
Aceh Basah, it’s not much different from Mie Aceh Tumis, Mie Goreng Aceh Basah’s difference is
when the water used to cook a little propagated. Mie Goreng Aceh Basah is perfect for those who like
soup noodles but not too much soup. And Mie Aceh Goreng Basah are also often referred to as
GORBAS or Goreng Basah. Third, Mie Aceh Rebus, this type of noodle is certainly very suitable for

no exact information on the origin of this kind species Mie Aceh, if seen from the characteristic can
be said this kind type of Mie Aceh types are the culinary combinated from three countries, namely
China for the noodles, India for the thick curry, and Aceh for the noodle seasoning.

In conclusion, Mie Aceh has a unique
blend characteristic that uses noodles
originating from China, India for the
thick curry and Aceh for the noodle
seasoning. The way it is served is varied,
it can be served dry, in soup, and boiled.
And can be mixed with various toppings
such as meat and seafood.

Internasional

Before the Aceh tsunami disaster in 2004, Mie Aceh were not very popular until they
became widely known because immigrants or NGOs (non-governmental organizations)
from abroad came to Aceh after the tsunami tragedy.
Along with the development of science and technology, Mie Aceh have
experienced many innovations

In 2019, the Banda Aceh City

Acehnese descent named Wahyuni ​said that
those in Norway, Belgium, England, the
Netherlands and several other countries in
Europe consume a lot of Mie Aceh at parties and
other events.
Conclusion
With the explanation above, it can be concluded that the
development of Mie Aceh is currently very popular both in
Indonesia and abroad. In addition, Mie Aceh have experienced many
varied innovations that make it easier for people to consume Mie
Aceh wherever and whenever they are practically and also cheaply.
Therefore, we as the heirs of Indonesian culture must continue to
protect our heritage, develop cultures in Indonesia so that we can
continue to compete with the cultures of other countries.
4. How to Create and serve Mie Aceh

Introduction
As we know, mie aceh is one of the most popular dish in
Indonesia, this dish is known by its richness in flavour and
spices, you also able to find a lot of condiment inside this
noodle dish, the creation of this dish is very similar with any
other noodle dish in Indonesia, the only differences is the
spices. Beside the dish is actually popular with the spicy and
savory flavour.

To create this dish all you needed is wet yellow noodle, beef
broth, shrimp, mutton or beef (cut into dices), tomato, garlic,
spring onion, bean sprouts, cabbage, vinegar, leek, celery. As for
the vegetable you have slice it into fine pieces. Next is the
ingredients for the spices you have to prepare re onion, garlic, red
chilli, turmeric, cardamom, cumin, pepper grain. Before start
cooking th ingredients in a pan you have to make sure the
ingredients are prepared properly, first you have to remove the
skin o shrimp, then cut the mutton and tomato into dices, thinly
sliced garlic and spring onion, and finally finely slice all the
vegetable.

The very first step to make the dish is saute sliced onion, garlic
and ground spices until the fragrance came out, then put the
mutton stir and cook it until the color changes, add tomato and
shrimp,stir it well, add the stock and finally add all of the other
ingredients, except for the noodle, cabbage, and bean sprouts.
You have to wait until the meat are cooked and the water
reduced to the perfect thickness.
Conclusion
For the last step you can add the cabbage and
bean sprouts and stir well, then add the
noodle and soy sauce stir it again so that all
the ingredients are cooked and mixed
perfectly. For the serving, the noodle have to
serve hot and make sure the noodle not
expand, for better taste and texture you can
add pickled cucumber and fried chips or
emping. Mie Aceh is ready to serve.
