Introduction
• Mesiniaga tower is a bioclimatic oriented building. The design
incorporates passive energy features such as solar shading and
optimum positioning of service cores.
• It maximises natural lighting and ventilation, therefore reducing
energy consumption. This minimises the buildings' impact on the
environment.
• The most notable design of the building is its vertical landscaping.
It has a spiralling sky garden that twists up the building and
provides shade and visual contrast to the steel and aluminium
surface.

Sky garden and plantings

•The responds to rain in such a way than when rain

fall, the planting on each floor will absorbs it.
•This also allows each floor to have an open area
which serves as a connection to nature.
Built form
◦This building is built vertically to allows
exposure to the full extent of the heat,
temperature and weather.
◦Its exoskeleton is made out from reinforced
concrete and exposed steel structure which can
help in reflecting the sunlight
Sky light in car park
•To incorporate natural lighting to the dimly lit
underground car park.
•This allows for a better view in the car park as
well as reducing the usage of artificial lighting.
Solar orientation and shading devices
A. Curtain wall glazing
B. Roof curvilinear/ sunscreen on rooftop
A) Curtain wall glazing

•At the north and south sides there is curtain wall

glazing which are the garden insets provided as
they will help in reducing solar gain by the
building.
•At the west and east side there is shaded windows
act as a response to the tropical sun path.
B) Roof curvilinear/sunscreen on rooftop
•The sun roof is the skeletal provision for panel
space for the possible future placing of solar-cells
to provide back-up energy sources.
Conclusion
• In conclusion, Mesiniaga Tower is one of the
buildings that uses the concept of green technology.
• Green technology are a worthwhile investment for
any company that wants to improve its operations,
enhance company thinking and reduce expenses.
• While green technologies may be more costly to
implement initially, their long-term benefits surpass
the short-term benefits
