1. Relative to the BR-B4 Program Implementation Policy, attached in the Division
Memorandum No. 262, s. 2020 known as Implementation of Blue Rizal: Barangayan para sa Bawat Bata Bumabasa (BR-B4) Program, this Office encourages all schools to conduct a Home-based Reading Camp from 26 July 2021 to 20 August 2021.
2. The objectives of this activity are to:
a) sustain the promotion of reading habit in learners’ homes; b) continuously develop learners’ comprehension and numeric competencies with the assistance of adults who read for-and with them; and c) inculcate the importance of reading and numeracy as fun and advantageous skills. HOME-BASED READING CAMP
• Schools are advised to refer to the suggested calendar of activities
and to disseminate/discuss the same to parents for guidance in the implementation of the Home-based Reading Camp. HOME-BASED READING CAMP HOME-BASED READING CAMP HOME-BASED READING CAMP HOME-BASED READING CAMP
• Monitoring of each suggested activity shall be done by volunteer DepEd
teachers with the monitoring procedure below.
Parents will send pictures of activities done at home to the teacher-
monitors every Friday.
Teacher-monitors are to collect and post the pictures on their respective
School Facebook Pages indicating the percentage of compliance based on the total number of BR-B4 beneficiaries under the Beginning Reading Strand and Remedial Reading Strand. HOME-BASED READING CAMP
• Teacher-monitors will be given service credits based on existing computation
guidelines of service credits.
• Informing the common public of this suggested series of activities shall be on
28-30 July 2021 with the assistance of social media platforms like Google Meet, Zoom, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc., use of text brigade, coordination with the Barangay unit for roving vehicle, whichever is applicable.
