Introduction

What is Televison Commercial (TV commercials/TVC) ?

TVC or Television is a form of advertising in which goods, services,


organizations, ideas, etc. are promoted via the medium of
television. Most commercials are produced by an outside ad agency,
and airtime is purchased from a channel or network in exchange for
sponsorship of its programming.

Description of the story of the ad

In this ad, we can see a girl of a rural area who wants to study who is
physically handicapped. She was loosing her self esteem due to taunts
of people of her society. She have the potential to study. Her Teacher
one day said to her Father that her writing speed in the exam is not so
much fast but she is good in study. And the teacher advised the girl to
practice more. Because the more she’ll practice the more she can
improve. So, her father bought some exercise book for her and she
started practicing by writing more and more with her feet. She
appeared in the board exam. She finishes her exam, walks up to her
teacher and submits her exam script. Ultimately she succeed.
Execution Style

The style which the advertiser followed is Emotional appeal. Here,


they are trying to communicate with the students by giving them
the message to practice, to write, so that they can improve their
memorization ability, and speed of writing.
Main Theme of Ad

The main theme of the Advertisment is –


• Inspite of having disabilies if you have the potentials or have the
spirit, you can do it anything by practicing.
• Never Give Up!
Target Audience

As exercise books are mostly used by students. So, the Targeted


audience are students of all class i.e. students from primary school
to university students.
Model

The campaign used a real life character Beauty Akhter who got GPA
– 5 at SSC-2017 examination.
She is young girl of village from Joypurhaat. A girl born with
Phocomelia syndrome which is is a rare birth defect that causes
severe birth defects, especially of the upper limbs
Criticism

This campaign has successfully helped position Bashundhara Exercise


Book as a brand that proudly represents the students who never
give. Thus, there is actually nothing to criticize. We couldn’t find
any problem in the advertisement
Recommendation

Advertisement reached the expectations of the market, the


campaign solely focused on communicating with the masses and the
results are more than impressive. So, again there is nothing to
recommend about the advertisement.
TVC of Bashundhara Tissue
Description of the story of the ad

• We saw in the advertisement that Bashundhara tissue is being used


in all situations like toilet tissue is being used for bathroom, facial
tissue is being used for wiping tears and hand tissue is being used
for clean hands etc.
Execution Style

• This ad uses many types of execution styles such as Happiness and


Heart Touching.
Main Theme of Ad

• The main theme of this ad is that you will find all types of tissues
for your use in Bashundhara tissues such as hand tissue, toilet
tissue, and face tissue.
Target Audience

• All sorts of people are targeted here because this Tissue is used
for all sorts of tasks, everyone is considered a target audience
here. Mainly the Guardians are more targeted here.
Model

• The models are fine for this ad because if they used a more
popular model, they would not be able to show the emotion they
are showing. The focus would shift to the model which is why I
think the models they are using are ok.
