Leadership is being in the forefront of
a vision that leads a group or a
society to a better future eventually
leaving legacies for the benefit of
mankind and footprints for others to
follow.
What are leadership skills?
• Leadership skills refer to technical
abilities and qualities that enhance
leadership effectiveness when
applied.

• Leadership skills can be hard or soft.


What is leadership style?
 “Leadership style is the manner and
approach of providing direction,
implementing plans, and motivating
people.” (Ojokuku et al, 2012:203).
 “Great leaders choose their leadership
styles based on prevailing
circumstances and the end goal.” (Brian
Tracy, 2017).
What is leadership settings?
•Leadership settings refer to the practice of
leadership in different broad fields and
endeavors of man.
•These broad fields include religious,
business, corporate, political, educational
and community.

Lecture Ground Rules
•Lateness for lecture shall not be allowed.
•Movement during lecture shall not be
allowed.
•Students will only be allowed to go out
of the Lecture Hall on an emergency
(God forbid).
Lecture Ground Rules
• No form of distraction during lecture shall be
tolerated.
• The University lecture dress code shall be
enforced.
• Lecture period shall not extend beyond
stipulated hours.

• No form of eating and chewing shall be
allowed during lecture.
• Students can use their devices only for note-
taking during lecture.
• To qualify for examination, student shall make
a minimum of 75% lecture attendance score.
