Introduction
A food business is important for providing
people’s needs, but it also has challenges and
concerns that go unnoticed by many businesses.
To meet the requirements of an ever-increasing
population, the food industry must work hard.
Restaurants, quick food restaurants, cafeterias,
food carts, and other food retailers are examples.
Filipinos are fan of foods and one of these is crispy pata, which
gave an idea of creating Filipino cuisine restaurant that offers any
food that most people love to eat. So when it comes to the top
full-scale family restaurant in Batangas City, only one name
comes to mind when it comes to a truly enjoyable dining
experience: the F. Restaurant Baylosis Batangas is known for
having the greatest crispy pata and chicken in the Philippines.
They launched a crispy pata delivery service from their garage in
Arce neighborhood (Hilltop, Kumintang Ibaba) around the year
2000.
Eventually, word-of-mouth from their devoted delighted consumers
helped Tricia Baylosis of F. Baylosis established a household brand for
excellent family meals. Tricia Baylosis was known for being part of
junior master chef. After that reality show she continue to be known by
creating original recipes for their own restaurant. In 2010, they
transferred to their new cozy home at G.C. Berberabe Subdivision in
Pallocan West. Since then, they gained rapid growth, getting more and
more famous year after year. In Oct. 2013, they opened their Lipa City
branch in Sabang, Lipa City. And September this year, they opened their
Bauan branch in Brgy. Balayong, Bauan.
For some reason this restaurant has established
itself over time gaining popularity and prestige
among Batanguenyos and over its competitors.
Steps in
Organizational
Development
Entering and Contract

Owning and operating a business restaurant and running

it well is not an easy task. You have to work hard to
sustain in the competitive restaurant industry. There are
numerous elements to keep in mind, from interior
design to business management, and from good food
and dining experience to future business planning and
staff. The food business is intricate yet immensely
fulfilling.
A business restaurant can survive the tough competition from
established and new competitors, if it formulates a unique marketing
plan. It must know its market, target customers, competitors very
well. But it’s visual communication with the people must also be
impressive and purposeful. It is also competitive as you have to drive
customers to dine and enjoy at your place more than they do in
others restaurants. The important things to consider for those who are
managing a restaurant, as well as for the owners of the restaurant.
Taking care of the customers and the employees and providing a
high-quality food are the key ingredients for the success restaurant
business.
The common problems faced by the business
restaurant is a food security is one of the
main ethical issues in food service. Since
food is at the center of every restaurant, you
should treat it with the utmost care. It can
encounter many food transportation issues
such as the items not arriving on time,
needing temperature-controlled
transportation, or being contaminated.
These can lead to other poor food safety problems
like customers or staff getting sick. Then second
issue was about the compensation and benefits of
the employees. Many of the employees of F.
Baylosis complain about their salaries because
sometimes they don’t seem to fit in with their jobs
because most of them work all around and the
others before when they applied, they didn’t even
discuss any benefits they could get. They have been
there for several years and they still do not receive
any benefits.
That is why their grievance to the management is
that when the compensation rate goes up, theirs
will also increase and hopefully fare and
compensation to regular and new employees and
hopefully with the size of the restaurant’s income
they will provide benefits and not deduct to the
employee

Conclusion

In conclusion to the interviews, the employees are sometimes

stressed by the work responsibilities but are still comfortable with the
work environment. They are challenged with the encounter with the
customers since each customer has different behaviors towards the
staffs. Every company provides racial equity as well as benefits but
some benefits are not provided to some employee especially if the said
employee is still new to the job. They are still taking their job as
meaningful despite of the challenges that they encounter everyday in
the work field.
The interview results are supported by the study of
Archakova (2013) which states that a good service is the product
of a well-organized business culture, which is a type of social
culture in general. Rules, regulations, and standards are provided
by the company which molds the employee to provide a good
service quality. The mission and vision of a company alongside
its goal guides the employee to perform well to provide a high-
quality service that could satisfy the needs of the clients. Proper
management of staffs could lead to proper treatment of the
employees to the customers which eventually lead to a good
quality that could trigger a customer’s loyalty.
A good service quality is a product of good
management. The handling of employees is the job of the
management which make sure that the job is being done
according to the mission, vision and goals of the
organization. Employees performance depends on their
capability which is assessed by the human resources and
guided by the management to make sure that the highest
quality of service would be served to every client but still
making sure that the employees are not set aside.

GAMES

Magic Cane

Groups must create two lines on each side with the use of helium stick and then face each
other. Their index finger must be keep in contact with the stick. It is a simple activity to see
how teams communicate and solve problems together and how communication is important
especially when you want to feel happiness.

Objective: How teams communicate and solve problems together and how communication is
important.
Materials: 1 thin light weight bamboo cane

Procedure:

1. Split the group into two and line them up in two rows facing each other.
2. Introduce the cane to the group.
3. Ask participants to hold their arms out in front of them and point their index
fingers.
4. Lay the cane down their fingers. Get the group to adjust their finger heights
until the cane is horizontal and everyone’s index fingers are in contact with the stick.
5. Explain that the challenge is to lower the cane to the ground.
6. If anyone’s finger is caught not touching the cane, the challenge will be
restarted.
Steal the Bacon

This is an action oriented game good for medium or large size groups.
Similar to football, two teams will try to get the “bacon” from the other side
of the field to the end zone. Even though they are playing as a team they
need to do it one by one and this can help an individual trust themselves.
This game will surely be fun.

Objective: To improve the respondents’ ability in leadership, cooperation

and communication.

Materials: any object that can be grabbed (ball, shoe etc.)

Procedures:

1. Split everyone into two equal teams. Arrange the teams into two
parallel lines facing each other. Place the object in the middle, between the
two teams.
2. Ask everyone to remember their numbers. Go down one line and
assign each person a number. Each person should have the same number
with the person on the opposing team.
3. The object of the game is to be the first person to grab the object if
your number is called and bring it back to your team’s line untagged. As
soon as you touch the object, the other person has the opportunity to tag
you. If the other person tags you, then no one gets the point.
4. Begin the game by calling a random number. If the person brings the
object back to their side untouched, the person gets a point for their team.
