Meaning of the internship

My internship started on
May 30th and ended on
June 27th, so more or
less a month and I did it
in Milano Marittima at
the Bellettini hotel, a 4-
star hotel
The Hotel: description and more

The hotel has 4 rooms


(breakfast room, 2 dining and
dinner rooms and a part of an
outdoor room), an internal bar
and a beach bar, a large part
of a private beach with deck
chairs, a kitchen, a buffet and
swimming pools external.
My tasks

Inside the Hotel, my job was to serve the guests from


behind the buffet with Dallago and another colleague. Many
times, near the end of the service, I went to the office to dry
the glasses, this for both lunch and dinner. For a week they
gave me the commis assignment, so I had to bring the
plates to the guests and clear away when they left.
My daily routine
My typical days were:
I woke up at around 10:00 and at 11:00 I started getting
dressed. I left at 11:15 am and arrived at 11:25 am. I had lunch
until 12:00 and from there the lunch shift began. At 15:00 -
16:00 I finished the service and went to the hotel to rest. At
5:30 pm I would start dressing again to do the second shift and
at 5:45 pm I left to go to the hotel. At 6:00 pm I was at work to
make his glasses and to refill the employees' waters. at 18:30 we
started to have dinner and at 19:00 I started the service at the
Buffet.
I finished the service at 21:00 - 22:00 (occasionally at 23:00)
and returned to the hotel to go to sleep.
My free day
On my free day I went around
Milano Marittima. I woke up
around 10:00, got dressed and
went to the beach. I went alone
because in the morning everyone
was at work, instead in the evening
everyone was around except me,
who was relaxing in the hotel with
the phone
Special situations

Nothing in particular.
Maybe only a few times
when the Chef took me
for a ride, or a work
colleague who took me
back for no reason
Conclusion
At the end of this internship I
learned what it is like to really
work in a hotel and to stand for
many hours without getting tired.
I do not know if I will continue
the path as a waiter, however, I
know it will not be easy anyway
so I will have to work hard
