INTRODUCTION

• According to IRC:SP:17-2019 (Draft Copy) “Concrete overlay is


the wearing and stress bearing top layer of Pavement Quality Concrete
(PQC), laid on an existing pavement with or without intermediate base
or subbase (interlayer), to resurface, restore and strengthen the existing
pavement.”
