SUMMARY

The present energy audit is on a school located in Dammam, Saudi Arabia. This Audit focuses on identifying the issues and recommended
solutions. After collecting all the information about the building such as occupancy activity, building envelope, annual electric bills, and plans of
the building along. After that, a detailed walkthrough has been conducted to identify the issues and lacking elements of the building. Next a
proper solution has been given and tested in Design builder software in order to lower the energy consumption of the building. The results
indicate that changing the AC units in classrooms from window units to split unit and incorporating aluminum overhang shading can reduce the
energy consumption by 9% or 24,000 SAR annually.

SUMMARY
Introduction:

In this energy audit we are going to conduct a study and review of energy flows in a building for the purpose of energy conservation. It may
involve a process or device that reduces the amount of energy input while maintaining the system's performance.

Goals:

• Conduct a simple Walk-Through audit or observation of the building's energy use of electricity.

• Review and analyze previous energy consumption to provide a baseline on which savings can be made in the audited house,
measurements were taken.

• Determine what can be done to minimize energy usage in the buildings and, if funding is appropriate, what options are available for
system improvements.

• Identify and review steps that could enhance the buildings environmental efficiency and make recommendations.

CONCLUSION

 We found several issues with it at the end of our audit most of them are due to the building age.

 There were also some serious flaws in the building's energy consumption. We proposed solutions that would
reduce energy consumption and help the owners save money.

 The main issue was HVAC systems, lack of insulation, and single glazing windows with no shading.
Furthermore, because this building was constructed 20 years ago, there were numerous cracks and leaks that
allowed for air leakage in general. To summarize, there were no major issues, but rather minor ones that could be
resolved quickly and inexpensively.

 And, if the feedback resulted in making the necessary changes, the building will reduce a decent amount of
energy consumption by 9% and save a good amount in annual running cost of 24,000 SAR.
