Connecting Thoughts, Feelings,

and Behaviors for Evaluating One’s
Self
“Watch your thoughts, they become words;
watch your words, they become actions;
watch your actions, they become habits;
watch your habits, they become character;
watch your character, for it becomes your destiny.”
-FRANK OUTLAW
The only things we can control in life are our thoughts,
feelings and behaviors. If we can manage those, we can
achieve our goals and gain success in life.
If we know how our minds work, we can be intentional
about influencing our thinking and feeling patterns. We can
evaluate reality more clearly, make better decisions and
improve our ability to achieve our goals. Thus, we gain
greater agency and the quality of living intentionally.
COGNITIVE-BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (CBT)

learn how to identify and change destructive or
disturbing thought patterns that have a negative
influence on behavior and emotions.
