CHAPTER III
INTRODUCTION

In this section, we will be talking about what all of this part is about. In
here, we will be gathering needed data for our study, and what kind of
methods we used to gather them. The data that we will be gathering should
only be the truth, as this makes our study even more factual and genuine,
because truthful answers are the key to researches.
We will also be discussing about our beloved respondents, who gave time to contribute for our study. This part also discusses about keeping the

respondents' privacy info safe and protected.

RESEARCH DESIGN

The study about the effects of the quarantine to the physical fitness is a
quantitative kind of research that uses survey to gather the information
needed in the study. A survey will be done to Grade 12 students of Saint
Michael's college of Laguna who answered the questionnaires prepared
by the respondents.
SAMPLES

The selected respondents of the study come from each section of the Grade
12 senior high school students in Saint Michael's College of Laguna.
Using the quota sampling technique, the required number of respondents
from each of the section of Grade 12 senior highschool students were
taken. A total of 20 respondents comprise the sample of the study.
INSTRUMENTATION

In this study, the researchers prepared the survey questionnaires which

were validated by Sir Nestor Hadi Ed.D. The questionnaires is based on
three types of research questions that is also divided into levels descriptive,
effects, and inferential questions. The questionnaire consists four items
wherein the respondents should answer truthfully to give our study justice
and make it factual.
DATA GATHERING

This section shows how we, the researches gathered our data needed for
our study. This study started to gather ideas to focus on. As you can see,
our study focuses on the respondents' opinions and experiences. This is
why our questionnaire's focal point is on the respondents' point of view,
how they react to such things (in this case, physical fitness), and their own
experiences.
When we made our questionnaire, we thought of what kind of questions would
contribute a lot to our study. Since our topic is about quarantine effects to physical
health, we focused on how quarantine have effects on us, researches physically too.
We visualized on what kind of questions would we like to be asked for, that is related
to the said title. Overall, we're focusing on what we need to know about our said
topic.

After conducting the survey, there would be a recount on the number of

respondents. It is important to make sure that the researches have the right
respondents. The researchers will compile all of the results, analyzing the data
and tabulating the results.
STATISTICAL TOOLS

The prepared survey by the researchers will be answerable by the

respondents opinions or experiences. Using the quota sampling technique, the
target number of samples to gather data. The total Grade 12 Senior High
School Students of Saint Michael's College of Laguna consist of 153 students.
The researcher targeted a total of 20 respondents on selected 5 students each
section to comprise the sample of the study.
ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
It is always important to protect the respondents' privacy and make them feel
safe to answer all truthfully. We are not asking the respondents' names because it
really isn't needed in our study. We asked for the sections instead to tell our
anonymous respondents apart, and to analyze and divide the data easier. We're
sensitive to our respondents' feelings and we are respecting their privacy and if
they're comfortable with contributing to our study. We make sure that we have the
respondents' consent to answer our questions and properly ask permission to do so.
Our respondents' privacy are the only thing that matters in our survey.
