CONVERSION OF UNIT
Sometimes we move from one to another system of units, but without changing the
physical quantities. The ratio (comparison) between two different unit so that it is
equal to one is called the conversion factor.
Through factors, this conversion changes the unit system to be fast and efficient. Table below gives several conversion
factors for the quantities of length, mass, velocity, force, power and pressure.

2) Quality of the concrete is stated by 2 types

of notation, namely K-xxx (Kg / cm2) for
cube specimen (15 x 15 x 15) cm and f’c =
xxx MPa for cylindrical specimens
(diameter 15 cm, height 30 cm).
Convert K-250 concrete into f’c notation!
(conversion factor = 0.83)

3) Fahrenheit and Celsius are units of temperature. Indonesia
uses Celsius to state temperature, while some countries use
Fahrenheit.
Fahrenheit range is from 32 to 212, while Celsius from 0 to
100 degree.
