Structure : Arrangement of parts.
How the parts are arranged.

Function: Another word for a job

Cell Membrane (Plasma membrane)
ALL cells have a cell membrane that is thin and flexible lying along the
inner edge of the cell wall.
Function:
1. It controls what goes in and out of the cells.
2. Semi permeable. (partially permeable)

Cell Membrane
Nucleus
Most cells have a nucleus that controls all cell activities.
Function:
1.  It controls and regulates the activities of the cell (e.g., growth and
metabolism)
2. It carries the genes, structures that contain the hereditary information.
3. It contains the genetic materials (DNA)

Nucleus
Cytoplasm
ALL cells have cytoplasm that is like clear jelly.
• Cytoplasm is the fluid that fills cells and serves several important
Functions.
1. Chemical reactions that keep the cell alive happen inside it
2. It holds all cell organelles in place.

Cytoplasm
Mitochondrion ( plural, mitochondria)
Mitochondria are membrane-bound organelles present in the cytoplasm.
Function:
It is responsible for producing Adenosine triphosphate (ATP), the main
energy currency of the cell.
Called power house as it’s the main source of energy (power) in the cell.

Let’s draw the animal cell
Rules for drawing:
1. Draw with a pencil
2. Drawing should take around 2/3 of the available space
3. Label lines not with arrows
4. Label lines should not cross each other
5. Do not shade
