THE EFFECTS OF OVERPOPULATION

TO STUDENTS ACADEMIC
PERFORMANCE IN TRADE SCHOOL
INTRODUCTION
The number of students at a school is gradually growing while
simultaneously revealing serious problems. A school's enrollment will grow
over time, and you'll see a connection between classroom size and
educational quality, which may have some effects on students academic
performance. This research aims to show the effects of overpopulation to
students academic performance in trade school. Our defense is unique as the
issue of overcrowded schools are often overshadowed by arguably equally
as bad problems such as work overload and lack of sleep due to school
works. We shed light onto the issue of overpopulated schools and do a deep
dive to find the roots of the problem.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM
The study aims to explore the effects of overpopulation to students academic
performance in Trade School to contribute further knowledge in the
following questions the researchers sought to answer:

1.What causes the overpopulation with students?

2.How does overpopulation affects the students academic performance?
3.Is there a significant relationship between the students academic
performance and overpopulation?
RESEARCH HYPOTHESIS

Null Hypothesis: Overpopulation doesn't have any significant

effect to the academic performance of the students from Trade
School.

Alternative Hypothesis: Overpopulation does have any significant

effect to the academic performance of the students from Trade
School.
THEORETICAL FRAMEWORK

Behavioral Personality Theory-

The study of how human conduct relates to one's environment is known as
behavioral personality theory, or behaviorism. (Watsons, 1913)

Social Cognitive Theory-

Introduced by psychologist Albert Bandura in 1989, proposed that learning
occurs through observation, imitation, and modeling and is influenced by
factors such as attention, motivation, attitudes, and emotions.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATIONS
The scope of the study aims to determine the effects of over
population to the academic performance of Trade School
students. The study is delimited only for the students in the
said academic institution. The information will be gathered
by providing same questionnaires to answer prepared by
the researchers.
