 How Social Media or TikTok affects their studies;
 More specifically, with their study habits

• CHAPTER II:REVIEW OF RELATED
LITERATURE AND STUDIES

 According to Jhosele Tus (2020), Students' academic performance

is a student's determinant of success. This also serves as a significant
necessity in education, because for you to learn is also for you to
enhance your performance in every subject.
RESEARCH GAP
 There are yet amounts of gap in the study
 The study needs more references and resources in order to support
itself
 It is still fresh and is in need of more in-depth information
 As of now, the study shall atleast create;
• Fillers to fill on some gaps such as;
• The effects of tiktok to study habits
METHODOLOGY
 Research design- phenomenological research method
 Participants- five Grade 10 students of San Vicente Parochial School,
inc.
 Locale- Conducted at San Vicente Parochial School, inc.
 Sampling design- purposive sampling method
 Data collection: a.Methods – researcher has conducted
semi-structured interview
b.Tool – used questionnaires to conduct an
interview
 Data analysis- Used the data triangulation for proper analysis and
interpretation of data
Results and Discussions
In general, the responses procured from the respondents have given
the researchers the following result:
 The first section tackles how long students use TikTok
 Common answers include them using it everyday and some are
not too often
 The second section is about how a study habit helps in their studies
Summary, Findings, Conclusions, and
Recommendations
 Summary
 The study was conducted with the purpose to know the
effects of TikTok and its impacts towards teenagers,
especially students who may become prone to addiction that
may be the cause to students’ affected mental health. Thus,
the researchers conducted qualitative research to study
further of their experiences.
Findings
 TikTok can be reliable if used profitably but if used in a way where you
benefit nothing from it like when a student became too absorbed with the
app which causes them to become addicted but as they respond to our
interview they only use this app for entertainment generally for this
purpose only.
Conclusions
 TikTok addiction is a very common thing TikTok became the app where most of
them is entertained. Everything is profitable through creating videos then
posting it on TikTok for viewers and supports. The study may not have
saturated the possible information but the researchers were able to commit
themselves in putting another new found knowledge about the topic.
Recommendations
 We recommend to the potential researchers to:
• Research more of the topic
• Needs more participants
• Study the effect of TikTok addiction on academic
performance
 Study recommends the students to:
• Limit their screentime
• Must have time management
