The actuality lies

in the fact that IT haven’t been introduced so much in developing English writing skills and there are not so many methodically worked out exercises to
fulfill the aim.
The objective

of our research is to investigate the influence of


using IT for developing Writing Competence and to
create the system of exercises for its formation
through IT tools.
Tasks
 to investigate the notion of writing competence and main principles of its
development;
 to identify linguistic and psychological characteristics in its formation;
 to study the appliance of IT in forming writing skills for future teachers of English;
 to single out the criteria for the selection of educational material that is use in
developing English future teachers’ writing competence by means of IT.
 develop our own system of exercises for forming English writing competence by
using IT;
 to check the effectiveness of introduced methodology in practice.

Writing competence is the ability to encrypt information based on the graphical communication channel
through the acquired knowledge in grammar, vocabulary, spelling and punctuation

Group I – exercises for learning graphics and spelling;


Group II – exercises on assimilation of compositional unities
of different levels;
Group III – exercises to create an own composition by using
different types of supportive material;
Group IV – exercises to create an own composition in the
form of letters, essays, announcements, annotations, articles.
