 What is Past Perfect Continuous Tense ?
Past Perfect Continuous Tense is a
tense that is used to express an event
in the past and is still taking place for
some time afterwards (but still in the
past) and never reaches the present
time.
Past Perfect Continuous Tense adalah
tenses yang digunakan untuk menyatakan
suatu kejadian dimasa lampau dan masih
berlangsung dalam beberapa waktu
setelahnya (tapi masih dimasa lampau) dan
tidak pernah mencapai waktu sekarang
(present time).

Contoh :
She had been waiting for an hour when I
arrived.
(Dia sudah menunggu selama 1 jam pada saat
saya tiba)

Fungsil Penggunaan Past Perfect Continuous Tense

sebelum kegiatan lain di masa sementara (temporary)

(Shena telah bekerja keras
sepanjang hari kemarin)
- She had been living in
this city for ten years.
(Dia telah sedang tinggal
di kota ini selama sepuluh

Ciri-ciri past perfect continuous tense
yaitu :
predikat kalimat yang sering digunakan dalam
