SITUATION / PROBLEM:

In a region characterized by conventional farming practices

that heavily rely on synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, a
local community of Sitio Intok,Brgy.Pastilan is facing
challenges related to soil degradation, reduced crop yields,
and environmental pollution. Farmers in the area are
looking for sustainable alternatives to enhance soil fertility,
promote healthier crops, and reduce the ecological impact
of agriculture.

WHAT IS FAA?

The Fish Amino Acid (FAA) is a liquid made

from fish. FAA is of great value to both plants
and microorganisms in their growth, because it
contains and abundant amount of nutrients and
various types of amino acids (will constitute a
source of nitrogen (N) for plants).
WHAT IT CAN FAA DO?
FAA fertilizer may contribute to improved crop quality. This can include
factors such as better taste, color, and nutritional content, which can
be particularly important for crops intended for human consumption.

FAA fertilizer contributes to soil health by improving soil structure and

promoting the activity of beneficial soil microorganisms. This can lead
to better water retention and aeration.
FAA fertilizer can enhance a plant's ability to withstand various
stresses, such as drought, diseases, and environmental fluctuations.
FAA fertilizer is rich in essential nutrients such as nitrogen,
phosphorus, and potassium, as well as micronutrients. These nutrients
are crucial for plant growth, development, and overall health.
COMPONENTS OF FAA
AMINO ACID
Fish amino acid fertilizer is rich in amino acids, the building blocks of
proteins. These amino acids are in a form that is readily available for
plant absorption, promoting protein synthesis.

NUTRIENTS
The fertilizer contains essential nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus,
potassium, and various trace elements. These nutrients are crucial for
plant growth, flowering, and fruiting.

ORGANIC
MATTER
Fish amino acid fertilizer contributes organic matter to the soil,
enhancing soil structure and microbial activity. This, in turn, supports
overall soil health.
ADVANTAGES OF FAA
